Tasting Notes
Cherry Picking is the wine equivalent of a utility knife – extremely useful and satisfyingly versatile, offering sensory pleasure at both ambient and cool temperatures, and exemplifying the ability of Grenache to deliver fruit purity and flavour intensity while retaining an inherent prettiness and elegant structure. Rich, fresh red fruits dominate the nose and the palate with cherries, plums and ripe raspberries coalescing into a powerful cocktail and augmented by gentle vanilla and baking spice scents. The pleasantly powdery tannin profile engrains these flavours creating a delightfully persistent mouthfeel, while lowering the serving temperature invites a more slippery viscosity that elevates the refreshment factor. A moreish monument to a great grape grown from classic old wines planted in the appropriate spot, it’s easy for anyone to cherry pick its most appealing aspect…
